There are several fun things you can do with your family to make your Christmas a great one. Some of the things you can do are making a Christmas Wreath. There are many types of wreaths you can make. Wreaths have been used symbolically for centuries.
Advent wreaths-
These wreaths were first used during the cold December darkness of Eastern Europe. They were signs of hope in a coming spring and renewed light. The wreaths are usually made with 4 candles in a circle of evergreens with a fifth candle in the middle. Three candles are violet and the fourth is rose colored. You can also use four white candles or four violet candles. Each day at home you can light the candles at home. Light one candle each week every week until December 25th. You light the last candle in the middle on Christmas Eve to signal Jesus Christ being born
Christmas Wreath with berries-
You'll need one wood craft ring, one sheet of green paper,2 pkg green crinkled,shredded paper, 1 bunch of fake berries, 12 inches of any kind of ribbon, and a hot glue gun. First take the green paper and trace the wooden ring on it.Cut it out and the center. Hot glue the green paper ring onto the wooden ring. Next take the shredded paper and glue it onto the green ring, making sure you cover the entire ring. Then, take the berries and glue them individually on to the green crinkled paper wherever you want. Thats it!You have a beautiful wreath to show off.
Garland Christmas Wreath
You will need 2 paper plates, stapler, Garland, tape, glue, ribbon. First cut the center out of both of the plates. Hold the paper plates so the edges line up and the bottom parts face out. Staple around the edges to hold the paper plates together.
You can use whatever color Garland you want for this step as long as it id=s four feet long. Tape one end of the Garland so it is tucked inside the middle gap in the paper plates. Start wrapping the garland around the circle formed by the paper plates. You want to cover the plates completely. When you get back to where you started, put a blob of glue on the end of the Garland and tuck it carefully inside the middle gap of the paper plates.There you have it!A nice wreath.
