Market research by 'Mintel' revealed a huge
increase in spenditure on Cosmetic dentistry in the UK. In 2005 the spend was £210m,
this has risen to £627m in 2007. A recent survey by the Brtish Academy of
Cosmetic Dentistry found that over a quarter of the poulation has had cosmetic
dentistry and many are travelling abroad because of cheaper costs.
The BritishAcademy
of Cosmetic Dentistry advises to check fully how experienced the cosmetic
dentists abroad are. Also to see their
portfolio of cases they have actually done and ask to see testimonials. It is
important to research first and not only be influenced by the price of cosmetic
dentistry procedures. Aftercare is just as important as having the cosmetic
dentistry, in case anything should go wrong.
