Power Pack 3: A New Mobile Power Solution

The International Diamond Logic™ PowerPack 3 is an OEM innovation that offers easy truck integration in the battery box and that will make 3000 watts of AC power accessible for the truck. It was announced in March 2005 at the National Truck Equipment Association Show. The device can be installed on International® 4300, 4400 7300, 7400, and 7500 models, enhancing durability, reliability, and security at the same time, giving drivers the supplementary power they need to do their job on demand. It also helps the starting of pumps and compressors with its 5000-watt AC surge potential.

Brad Bishop, Business Line Manager, Truck Electronics, International Truck and Engine Corporation said that since the company published this offering in March, potential customers asked them for a lot of information and that they were happy to say that Diamond Logic PowerPack 3 is now accessible on new truck orders. According to Bishop, the mix of real power, consistency and minimal total-cost-of-ownership lets customers concentrate on their jobs. It transforms the truck into an incorporated mobile power source.

Other benefits of Diamond Logic PowerPack 3 are its controls, which cost about 1$ per watt, extending the life of the battery, starter, and alternator. Diamond Logic PowerPack 3 makes installation time shorter, it can be used to power refrigerators, VCRs, TVs, or microwaves onboard; it always has enough DC power to start the truck since batteries are always at full load, it is completely safe as it is enclosed in the battery box.

Diamond Logic PowerPack 3 is the beginning of a new series of tools designed for truck electronics.
