Are You Being Passionate About Your Calendars

"

The more feeling you put into anything the more people are going to feel the emotions that went into it, and latch onto it.

What I see so often are the companies who get calendar printing done every year. Each year they release one, and so they just pick some random topic for their calendars and go with it. Maybe they’ll have pictures of famous people, maybe they’ll have nature images, or images of unique buildings around the world. They pick something that has some good visuals and will naturally draw the attention of a certain group of people.

But they don’t really care about what they’re doing. They’ll release something generic enough that it will gain at least some attention, and a handful of their most loyal customers will grab it and put it on their wall.

Using a method like this their calendar printing isn’t really expanding their customer base. They aren’t really using it as a way of improving their sales or getting more people to have interest in their company. They’re releasing calendars simply because they know they should and nothing more.

The more interest you put in your calendar the better the end product and the more likely it is that people are going to take notice. The best calendars are going to be the ones that act just like every other type of marketing and pull in new customers.

Isn’t this what you’re always trying to do? What’s the point of a marketing push if you aren’t expecting to expand your company at all? The more interesting your calendar is the more likely it will be that new people who have never seen your company before will start to pay attention to you.

Complacency in any area of marketing will always lead to reduced sales and an overall failure to pull in the customers you need to keep going. This is just as much the case with calendar printing as it would be with postcards or brochures.

The best solution is to really pay attention to your customers and try to provide them with something interesting. Give them a calendar you know they’re going to like. Find a topic that will click with them. Make your calendar closely linked to your company and your market, so your calendar’s success will ensure people will take notice of you.

I wish I could provide more concrete examples on what exactly you should do to make those calendars just right, but this is supposed to be about finding something perfect for your customers and your market. Each market is naturally going to be different.

If you make sure that you stay passionate about the marketing you’re doing, and always keep your eye on expanding your company, you’ll be able to create a calendar that will not just please your current customers, but also pull in some new ones.
