Public Transport in and around Barcelona

Public Transport in and around Barcelona

The Public Transport in and around Barcelona is well organized and can be very useful when you have some pre knowledge before arriving.

Barcelona Airport
El Prat de Llobregat Aeropuerto

The BarcelonaAirport is located 13 km north east from the centre of Barcelona. Walking from there is not an option and there is no metro connection to Airport although many people seem to think so. There are three different kinds of transport that one can use to get from the Airport to the Barcelona city centre.

By taxi:

The official Barcelona taxis are black and yellow, this taxi service is generally very good, clean and reliable. There are hundreds of taxis at the airport parking place waiting for the tourists and visitors of Barcelona.

The taxi fare will be approximately €25 but there may be a surcharge for each suitcase. This information should be displayed in the back of the taxi.

By bus:

Also from this Airport you can take one of the ¨Aerobusses¨ that departs from every terminal.
