Nua healthcare Services have just launched a new challenging behaviour residential facility in Kildare. The Willows Challenging Behaviour unit has just opened and is open to referrals.
The unit will cater for individuals with Autism with behavioural difficulties.Nua Healthcare will hopefully soon become the first Irish internationally accredited Autism Service provider by December 09.Facilities include a purpose designed sensory bathing room, sensory calm down room and four spacious bedrooms, two of which are en-suite.
Clinical supports for the unit include the interventions of Dr Mark Harold, Behavioural Psychologist and Dr Louis O Carroll, Consultant Psychiatrist.Both clinicians have a significant level of experience in the support of individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviour . The unit also has on site access to the Willows therapy centre which includes a multisensory room, special education room, state of the art gym and canteen.
