PSDP, PSCS Advice under the Construction Regulations
OHSS offers support and solutions for the requirements of the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) and Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) under the Construction Regulations 2006. We can assist with the drafting of Design Risk Assessments, Preliminary the Safety & Health Plans and Construction Stage Safety & Health Plans. We can assist you to put in place systems which allow for the implementation of the requirements in a consistent manner.
OHSS also offers advice on the prequalification of potential PSDP, PSCS, Contractors and Designers as required under the regulations.
Safety Management Audits
OHSS will arrange and carry out an in-depth safety management audit of your company and prepare, in consultation with you, an action plan to assist your organisation comply with Health and Safety regulations and implement best practice procedures to ensure that you operate safely at all times. Our lead auditors have 15 years combined enforcement experience as HSA inspectors. Using additional personnel, such as trained OHSAS 18001 auditors, OHSS can provide practical solutions to identified Health and Safety issues.
Safety Management Systems
OHSS will work with you to put in place systems which allow you to implement the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. The Safety Management System will be designed to suit your particular industry and need, and enable you to demonstrate that you are managing any risk associated with your work activities.
Many of our clients require us to design and implement a system of safety management. An example of such a system is OHSAS 18001. This is a health and safety management system specification, which can be accredited by external bodies once implemented in the workplace. This system is developed by working with clients to improve the management and implementation of health and safety arrangements in the organisation and is based on risk assessment. Risk Assessment
OHSS assists you to comply with requirements for risk assessment under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005. The identification of hazards and the assessment of risks within an organisation are key to the management of risk and prevention of accidents and injuries. Working with your organisation, OHSS will identify areas of risk, assess the severity and outline a full risk assessment report.
Method Statements
Safe systems of work (also known as method statements or safe operating procedures) are put in place to manage risk. They recommend a sequence of activities, taking into account the Health and Safety implications, to ensure safety at all times. OHSS provides assistance preparing method statements and risk assessments. We also provide training and templates to enable your staff compile method statements and carryout risk assessments independently.
